Get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. Face cards count 10; Aces count 1 or 11.
Hit for another card, Stand to stop. Double doubles your bet for exactly one more card. Split a pair into two hands (up to four); split Aces get one card each.
Blackjack (an Ace and a ten-card) pays 3 to 2. The dealer checks for Blackjack when showing an Ace or ten, hits 16 or less and stands on all 17s. Ties push.
Your cards are private until the end of the round — then the dealer's hand is shown and everyone's hands are turned over one at a time.
